Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Receives a Further Emotional Story Trailer

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden seems keen to promote its story-telling, with the game receiving another trailer dedicated to its emotional storyline. Just two weeks ago, a trailer was released, letting us know the difficult choices that will await us in the game, and now we're getting a deeper look into the story, and seemingly some of the game's antagonists. In Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, players will take on the roles of Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith, experienced spirit hunters sent to New Eden to aid its citizens. But what will happen when Antea herself becomes the very thing she despises, a ghost? Now that his partner and lover has become what he swore to destroy, Red must make difficult decisions regarding love, sacrifice, and his sense of duty as he has to decide between those that still live and the one that he loves.

Traverse New Eden, a world plagued with supernatural creatures and ancient secrets as you make use of Antea's new condition and Red's formidable arsenal of weaponry to banish the spirits who torment the living. The citizens of New Eden are in your hands.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden launches on Steam, on February 13th, 2024. You can also order the Red Echoes Edition for $84.99 and the Collector's Edition for $199.99 on the Focus Entertainment website.

We don't know how well the game runs on the Steam Deck, with a developer stating in a forum post just 2 weeks ago that they don't have any information to share regarding Steam Deck compatibility. The game does have full controller support, however, and the system requirements are at the upper end of what is usually possible on the Steam Deck, so we might be able to run the game at low settings. Time will tell on that one.
