Ever since I first saw it, ZERO Sievert has intrigued me. The top-down extraction shooter captivated me with how gorgeous the pixel art was and how hard it could be. It looked like a top-down Escape From Tarkov that has procedurally generated worlds, which completely sold me. Unfortunately, there was no official controller support, which made playing on the Steam Deck a bit hard to do. But, after the newest patch, that is about to change!

In update 0.41, which is live now, controller support has officially been added in! This is fantastic and makes the game significantly more playable on gamepads, like the Steam Deck controller. The developer notes that you may need to adjust your settings in the Controller tab in your preferences to "Per Game Override" for the Steam Controller if it doesn't automatically enable the support. They also mention they are working on making the game fully Verified!

Here is the default controller map for the game:

In this update, we also have a full UI functionality overhaul, to make it more intuitive and efficient, inventory sorting (with stash sorting coming next hotfix), and AI weapon recoil, which will make battles against enemies more fair. It's a fantastic update overall, and I am extremely excited about trying it for myself!

ZERO Sievert is available on Steam for $19.99
