Xbox has just held their Developer_Direct livestream for 2025, where they invite a bunch of developers to come together and show what they've been working on. While this is an "Xbox" event, games are largely multi-platform these days, and every game that was shown at this event has been confirmed to be coming to Steam in the future.
So let's take a look at all the game announcements that were shown.
Games Shown at the Xbox Developer_Direct 2025 Show:
Ninja Gaiden 4 Announced - Coming Fall 2025
A surprise Ninja Gaiden announcement after the side-scroller we saw at The Game Awards, this one is a fully 3D slash'em'up with a new protagonist, Yakumo, who will be at odds with the series classic protagonist, Ryu. As you progress through the game, you'll learn more about Ryu's motives and what's driving him.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black Announced - Out Now!
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is a remake of the original Ninja Gaiden 2 from back in 2008, this time rebuilt with Unreal Engine 5 featuring enhanced visuals and additional playable protagonists. And it's out now!
A Further Look at South of Midnight - Coming April 8th, 2025
South of Midnight is a fairly unique-looking action-adventure title that has an almost stop-motion quality to its animation. You'll play as Hazel in the American Deep South, who, after a disaster begins to discover more about herself and the powers she possesses.

Take a Look at the Premise of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - Coming April 24th, 2025
I'll admit, I had absolutely no idea what Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was all about until I watched the Developer_Direct showcase, but now I'm very intrigued by the game, it seems like a great premise for the game, and if they can pull off the story and combat mechanics, I think it'll definitely be a game worth checking out when it launches in April.
DOOM: The Dark Ages Announced - Coming May 15th, 2025
A prequel to DOOM (2016), DOOM: The Dark Ages is aiming to be an entry point into the franchise. The change here is, that instead of being maneuverable and acrobatic like DOOM Eternal, in DOOM: The Dark Ages, you'll be fixed to the ground, in what is much more akin to the classic DOOM games, where the emphasis is on being a powerful soldier who can both take and give a beating.
Conclusion
And that's it for the Xbox Developer_Direct 2025. It was a short show, with only 5 games featured, but we were able to get a great look at each one, and they're all games worthy of your attention from the looks of things.
