Four years ago, I remember coming across a very unique-looking game called Void Bastards that hooked me on its roguelike presence, sci-fi inspirations, and comic book art style. The developer, Blue Manchu, is now making a spiritual successor called Wild Bastards that looks just as good but with a Wild West theme that seems to up the ante and include some management systems as well! And according to publisher Modus Games, we will be able to play this one on-the-go too!

In an older post on X, Modus Games showed off a small snippet of gameplay and talking about the game. Seeing the post, I commented on it, asking if there will be any Steam Deck support or optimizations considered for the release. Modus Games replied, confirming that Wild Bastards will have support for the portable device on its release!

We did follow up with specifics but, unfortunately, have yet to receive a reply. It is possible they can't confirm exactly how it will be optimized, but confirmation that it will be supported is still fantastic! On the Steam Store page, it does note that it has controller support, and the system requirements seem to be within a good range for the Deck.

Wild Bastards will be released this year and can be wishlisted on Steam.
