Wild Bastards is the sequel to the successful indie-hit, Void Bastards. After Jebediah Chaste and his posse hunted down the Wild Bastards one by one, the gang is no more. Just 2 members remain, until a sentient spaceship known as the "Drifter" comes along. Now, the 2 surviving members, along with the Drifter, work together to find and resurrect the fallen members of the Wild Bastards gang, and so begins the game.

You can check out an 11-minute video below, which goes over the game's premise as well as some gameplay:

The gameplay consists of a roguelike campaign, where you must survey planets to gather information on them, before assembling a party and landing to carry out your mission in a mix of strategy and shooter gameplay.

As you progress through the game, you will unlock more outlaws, more weapon upgrades, and more modifiers which will let you create complex strategies and choose the right loadouts for the right missions. Do you have what it takes to take on Jebediah Chaste and restore the Wild Bastards gang?

Wild Bastards is due to launch on Steam later in 2024. There's no official word on Steam Deck support yet, but the game does have full controller support, and judging by the game's visual style, the Steam Deck is probably capable of running it.
