Congratulations are in order for the team over at Naughty Dog as the remake to The Last of Us Part 1 has gone gold! This is a momentous occasion for any studio that are making games, especially one as big as Naughty Dog is.

Going gold essentially means the game is fully done and ready to be "printed" and released to the wild. This was announced from the Naughty Dog twitter account around 3 hours ago from the time of writing:

As of right now, the game will be releasing on PS5 on September 2nd of this year with a PC version in development. While the release date isn't confirmed, it is believed the PC release will be on Steam...which means we will be able to configure the game on the Steam Deck!
