In the last month, we covered Junk Store, one of our favorite new plugins, and how they were adding an accessible way to download and play games from your Epic library on the Steam Deck. Since then, the developer has talked about wanting to bring more support for other storefronts, with the one at the forefront being GOG. Well, it looks like the time for this is bound to happen soon because GOG is now being tested for support, and it is working like a charm!

This testing version of the plugin is locked to Patreon since it is still a very early test, but it is showing a lot of promise, which I couldn't be more excited about. It works just about the same as Epic, too. Once installed, you should get a new tab (after logging into GOG), and from there, you can access all of the GOG titles that you have in your account. Then, it's as simple as downloading each game and playing it!

After downloading and testing some games for myself, I can say with certainty that this is awesome.

There is currently no ETA on when this will be pushed to the public, but if you want to try it out for yourself, you can head over and check out the Junk Store Patreon. I have been talking a lot to the Junk Store developer about the plugin and its possibilities, and let me tell you that a lot is going on with this plugin that hasn't been talked about yet!

Either way, this is a huge milestone. Being able to access Epic and GOG games in such an accessible way is wonderful and has made me use other methods a bit less, thanks to how easy it is and how integrated the interface is with Game Mode.

You can currently download Junk Store from the Decky store, or you can follow our guide on how to install it.
