In a turn of events I definitely didn't expect, Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is now playable on the Steam Deck! This morning, Ubisoft pushed out a patch for The Division 2 that fixed the issue causing the game to be unable to boot on the Steam Deck!
Of course, I was excited to hear this, so I immediately downloaded the game to test it out. The game did boot and I was actually able to play without any issues! In the small time I have tried it, 40 FPS feels fantastic, but there are still a lot of drops and slowdowns when running across the world. But combat feels great and mixed input support is there! Needs some optimization, the drops are pretty constant, but we will see what we can do!
Overall, it is great to see The Division 2 now playable, but we definitely need to work on those drops. And getting that Ubisoft Connect notification to leave and never come back.

Does it work through Desktop Mode using Ubisoft Connect (non-Steam)? I can’t get it to launch
Are you running it through Steam at all? Have you downloaded the Proton Easy Anti-Cheat Runtime on Steam?
I was really excited to see this news today. This is exactly the type of game I've been hoping to see on Steam Deck. Live service games like Division or Destiny have been off the menu for me due to my lifestyle (kids, job, the usual drill), but playing this on Steam Deck would help with that tremendously. I'm going to wait and see what other info comes out before its discount on Steam ends on the 26th, but this is a great start.
We plan to have our review of the game out before the sale ends!
