Are you ready to try out the latest entry in one of the best fighting games to exist? I know I am! Bandai Namco is going to be hosting a Closed Beta next month for TEKKEN 8 that will give players a chance to test the game ahead of its release next year.
The test will allow you to test two different aspects of the game: the 1v1 combat and the Fight Lounge. The head-to-head combat will have cross-platform matching and will allow you to select from 19 different characters, including Jin, Kazuya, Paul, Lars, Jack-8, Azucena, and more. We will also have the chance to try out Feng, who was just announced in a new showcase trailer.
Then, we have the Fight Lounge, a lobby where players will be able to interact with each other. Here, you will be able to create custom Avatars, set up matchmaking, and try a variety of different game modes in the four distinct areas there: Battle Area, Customization Shop, TEKKEN DOJO, and the Beach Area. More of these features will be announced soon, but the Beach Area will see the return of the volleyball mini-game from TEKKEN 3.
Sign-Ups for the Closed Beta are open until October 11th and the closed beta will begin on October 20th. Testers will be notified and keys will be sent out on October 18th.
TEKKEN 8 can be wishlisted now on Steam and can be pre-ordered on multiple platforms:
