The Taipei Game Show has entered full swing as of yesterday, with the show kicking off with 346 exhibitors from 30 different countries and more than 350 games present at the show, 100 of which are still unreleased.

The Taipei Game Show is a serious event in Taiwan, with the Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs and the Deputy Director General of Administration for Digital Industries being present for the opening ceremony. As you might expect, many streamers, esports athletes, and cosplayers are also in attendance at the event.

Networking is a huge part of game shows like this, and there have been speakers from Taiwan, Czechia (formerly the Czech Republic), the US, Japan, and others who are hosting panels and showcasing how the gaming industry is thriving in their respective countries. Particularly the Czech delegation was organized by the Czech Economic and Cultural Office, which operates in the pursuit of economic interests between Taiwan and Czechia.

Nintendo had a huge presence at the event also, with an expanded booth where gamers could meet with Charles Martinet (the classic voice of Mario) in his first appearance in Taiwan. There was also an appearance by Cosplayer Alia who was promoting the upcoming post-apocalyptic Tactical RPG GIRLS' FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM by cosplaying as Dai Yan, a character from the game.

TaipeiGameShowJustdan

JUSTDAN, a Taiwanese game publisher and distributor was also on hand at the Taipei Game Show to present new titles such as Monster Hunter Wilds from CAPCOM and The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy from the creators of Danganronpa, with playable demos of both on the show floor. We also recently reviewed Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist, which we adored, and the Creative Director was present at TGS to give a behind-the-scenes look at development.

TaipeiGameShowHardware

The future days of the Taipei Game Show 2025 promise to bring in more demos of new and unreleased games, further information about sequels of classic titles, and demonstrations of the latest hardware and merchandise that you can get your hands on.
