If you are looking for a Mario Kart replacement to play on the Steam Deck, Super Indie Karts may be the game for you. It takes after the 16-bit SNES style and is filled with different indie characters like Mutant Mudds, Runbow, Teslagrad, Duck Game, and Cross Code. It's awesome and sports intriguing features like first-person views and over 45 racetracks. And it's just getting better and better on the Steam Deck with its latest update.

For the Steam Deck, this update is a relatively small one. There is one fix for the Deck specifically where an unconnected keyboard could push the joystick controls to Player 2. Not everyone will be affected by this issue in the first place, but it's a nice fix and shows the developers still care about Steam Deck support.

The rest of this update is mostly patching up some bugs found that were introduced in the new Ultra Cup's tracks. The Clive'n'Wrench track got two new time zones and a fixed crack in the slot car road, and the Nitromeland track fixed karts sometimes spinning in the air when exiting a portal and now fired weapons will also travel through portals to the other side. The Super Indie Beach track also has more arrow signs for some usual missing bends and higher invisible walls to the mud pit area since some players would get stuck after jumping the red fence.

There are a bunch of other changes for different tracks, weapons, and general fixes, and you can check out the full changelog via their Steam Community Post.
