Valve has brought in a ton of new Steam Deck Verified and Playable games this last week. With that in mind, here are the eleven highlights we found worth mentioning:
Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the Verified system and how it can be fixed.
Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 9/18/23 - 9/24/23

Discover a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe created by the Fire God Liu Kang. Mortal Kombat 1 ushers in a new era of the iconic franchise with a new fighting system, game modes, and fatalities!
The game is $69.99 and rated Verified. It is harder to run on the Steam Deck, so I wouldn't say it should be Verified, but it is technically playable on Deck.
Rune Factory 3 Special (Verified) (SDHQ Review)
Bridge the divide of an ancient schism between humans and monsters in Rune Factory 3 Special as half-human, half-wooly protagonist Micah. Farm, fight and fall in love as you revisit a classic in the series that perfected the blend of RPG & Life-sim genres.

Factorio (Verified)

NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Awakening (Verified) (SDHQ Review)
Players are supported by faithful retainers who act on their own judgement. The "Dominion" system will allow you to obtain and grant territory to retainers. In return, retainers who are given the land will dedicate themselves to the development of the clan. Divvy up and parcel out the beautifully detailed Warring States Japan as you like, and make it prosper!
The game is $59.99 and rated Verified.
Mineko's Night Market (Playable)
Mineko’s Night Market is a narrative-driven, social simulation adventure game that celebrates Japanese culture and invites players to craft whimsical items, eat delicious snacks, and ultimately enjoy all the cats.

Retrowave Skill-Based Action Roguelike about tough agents fighting crime and keeping peace the old-fashioned way. Choose your agent and dive into hardcore action against enemies and bosses using a huge arsenal and special abilities that will define your playstyle. The law will make crime bleed.

The game is $29.99 and rated Playable due to small in-game text and it does display compatibility warnings, but it runs well.
Homeseek (Playable)
Homeseek is a post-apocalyptic survival strategy game set on a dystopian, resource-strapped Earth at the beginning of the next century. In a dried-up wasteland where water has become the new gold, every choice becomes life or death. With your guidance, survival just might be within reach.

eFootball 2024 (Playable)
The classic action soccer game with the most up-to-date data! Enjoy the fever pitch of "real soccer" in eFootball™ 2024!
The game is free to play and is rated Playable due to having a game launcher/setup tool, entering text may need the virtual keyboard, some small in-game text, and needing to manually configure the graphics settings.
