The last week saw some fantastic new games get the Steam Deck Verified and Playable badges! There were some surprises as well, including God of War: Ragnarok getting the green checkmark, which I definitely didn't expect. But, we do have a nice mix of older, newer, and unreleased games getting their illustrious badge!

Here are the 12 highlights we found:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the system and how it can be fixed.

God of War: Ragnarok (Verified)

The sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018), God of War Ragnarök picks up with Fimbulwinter well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Odin’s forces in Asgard prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world.

The game is $59.99 and is rated Verified.

Into the Emberlands (Verified) (SDHQ Review)

Venture out into the Emberlands and uncover an ever-changing world filled with surprising encounters and mystical creatures! Save villagers who got lost in the Miasma, collect resources and rebuild your village to create a safe haven for your people.

The game is $6.59 in early access and is rated Verified.

Atelier Ryza 3 (Playable) (SDHQ Review)

The final summer, the final secret... Ryza's final adventure is about to begin! Reunite with characters from previous games and meet new key characters essential to the story. Embark on your adventure with a wide range of friends—one of the largest in the series.

The game is $59.99 and is rated Playable due to small in-game text and needing to manually configure graphical settings to run optimally.

The Plucky Squire (Verified) (SDHQ Review)

Storybook characters discover a three-dimensional world outside the pages of their book and must jump between 2D & 3D realms to save their friends in this charming action-adventure.

The game is $29.99 and is rated Verified.

The Crush House (Verified)

Film and produce 1999's hottest reality TV show: The Crush House! Select a crush-worthy cast, satisfy voracious audiences and keep the show on air to uncover the sinister secrets behind this darkly comic thirst-person shooter.

The game is $16.99 and is rated Verified.

Witchfire (Playable)

Witchfire is a single-player RPG shooter from the creative minds behind Painkiller and Bulletstorm. Embark on perilous expeditions, vanquishing foes to enhance your powers and arsenal. Scavenge valuable resources and retreat to your sanctuary, or push your luck by confronting Familiars— the powerful guardians of the witch.

The game is releasing into early access today and is rated Playable due to small in-game text.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake (Verified)

Theater of war, infinite drama. A masterpiece of historical simulation, "ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8" is revived after 20 years! Enjoy the greatest military drama in the series, with the largest number of officers and scenarios, including an improved "All Officers Play" feature.

The game can be wishlisted ahead of its October 23rd release date, and it's rated Verified.

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed (Playable)

Embark on a magical journey in Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed! Shape your adventure with the stroke of a brush and transform Wasteland as Mickey Mouse in this beautifully recreated 3D platformer.

The game is available for pre-purchase for $59.99 ahead of its September 24th release and is rated Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons and small in-game text.

Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines (Verified)

Swing, jump, and blast through dimensions in the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed 2D action-platformer Grapple Dog. Zip between action-packed worlds as Pablo and Luna team up to save the cosmos in their own unique ways.

The game is on sale for $14.39 at 20% off until September 26th, and is rated Verified.

Mosa Lina (Verified)

A hostile interpretation of the immersive sim, where nothing is planned, and everything works. This game is a response to the current trend of Immersive Sim design, where every ability is perfectly suited to solve a specific problem in the game. In order to counter this "Lock and Key" philosophy, Mosa Lina is aggressively random.

The game is $4.99 and is rated Verified.

Leximan (Verified)

Craft spells by combining floating fragments of words in Leximan, a whimsical adventure that uses creative wordplay to summon countless weird and wonderful solutions to puzzles. Alongside an awkward assembly of basement-wizards, save Academy Elementinia and become the hero nobody asked for!

The game is $14.99 and is rated Verified.

Dustborn (Verified)

Ragtag crew? Check. Musical gear? Check. Tour bus and robot driver? Check. Stolen package? Check! Embark on a perilous road-trip across a Divided States of America. Use the power of words to shape relationships with your crew, get out of trouble and reach your final destination.

The game is $29.99 and rated Verified.
