This past week had some great new games get the Steam Deck Verified/Playable badge. The upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom collection and Dragon Quest Monsters got their Verified badges, while the fantastic Visions of Mana and Castlevania Dominus Collection got their Playable badges. We also finally have a Playable badge for The Elder Scrolls Online, which it now has, thanks to Proton 9 fixing up the launcher issues.

Here are the 12 highlights we found:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the system and how it can be fixed.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics (Verified)

The legendary crossover hits are back! The action-packed lineup consisting of seven unique titles, is full of heavy hitters like X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER, and MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2 New Age of Heroes. The collection also includes the rare beat 'em up game, THE PUNISHER.

The game can be pre-purchased for $49.99 ahead of its September 12th release and is rated Verified.

Visions of Mana (Playable) (SDHQ Review)

Visions of Mana is a brand new title in this series revolving around the sacred sword and mana. This game’s iconic vibrant and vast semi-open field contains adorable yet ferocious monsters, allowing you to enjoy swift three-dimensional battles using the power of the Elementals. Through adventures with friends met along the way, they start to see the truth about the world.

The game is $59.99 and is rated Playable due to small in-game text and first time setup needing an internet connection.

Castlevania Dominus Collection (Playable)

Three incredible action adventure games from the Castlevania series have finally returned, for the first time! But wait, there's more! Haunted Castle Revisited, a redesigned version of the very first Castlevania arcade game, makes its debut!

The game is $24.99 and is rated Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons. You can also add up to 3 hours to your battery life by changing a couple of settings.

The Elder Scrolls Online (Playable)

Join over 22 million players in the award-winning online multiplayer RPG and experience limitless adventure in a persistent Elder Scrolls world. Battle, craft, steal, or explore, and combine different types of equipment and abilities to create your own style of play. No game subscription required.

The base game is $19.99 and is rated Playable due to needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard, needing to enable controller support manually, and the launcher requiring touchscreen or having small text.

Gundam Breaker 4 (Playable) (SDHQ Review)

Create your own ultimate Gundam in the newest Gundam Breaker! With more customizable parts than ever before, you finally have the freedom to build your perfect Gunpla. Test it in battle using the brand new dual-weapon system and break parts off of your enemies and add them to your collection.

The game is $59.99 and is rated Playable due to small in-game text.

Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse (Verified)

The last game in the episodic Sam & Max trilogy, beautifully remastered! As the intergalactic villains who seek the Devil’s Toybox close in and Max’s psychic abilities grow beyond his control, the Freelance Police will come up against their most frightening adversary yet: the power of Max’s mind.

The game is $19.99 and is rated Verified.

Holdfast: Nations At War (Verified)

Fight on multiple fronts in Holdfast: Nations At War - A multiplayer first and third-person shooter set during the great Napoleonic Era and WW1. Charge into battle with over 150 players per server!

The game is $19.99 and is rated Verified.

Age of Mythology: Retold (Playable)

From the creators of the award-winning Age of Empires franchise, Age of Mythology: Retold goes beyond history to a mythical age where gods, monsters, and humans collide.

The game is $29.99 and is rated Playable due to needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard and small in-game text.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince (Playable)

Compose your very own team of monsters from across the DRAGON QUEST series and engage in thrilling battles against your foes. Recruit monsters from the wild world around you and combine them to synthesize new creatures as you see fit. Leximan (Playable) (SDHQ Review)

Craft spells by combining floating fragments of words in Leximan, a whimsical adventure that uses creative wordplay to summon countless weird and wonderful solutions to puzzles. Alongside an awkward assembly of basement-wizards, save Academy Elementinia and become the hero nobody asked for!

Pool Panic (Verified)

Pool Panic is an unconventional billiards game with something new around every corner. It's the world's least realistic pool simulator!

The game is $14.99 and is rated Verified.

Slash Quest (Verified)

Slash Quest is a quirky action adventure with unconventional controls and unlikely heroes. Spin a magic talking sword through exotic lands, fight nasty creatures, overcome puzzles and make friends on your way to reunite it with its rightful wielder, the Queen.

The game is $4.99 and is rated Verified.
