I am constantly playing tons of new games, but whenever I feel like I need a break, I go to some idle games. They can be pretty detailed, but the gameplay is generally quite simple. Some require only clicking on one specific spot, some have more in-depth upgrades, but I do love seeing the numbers go up and seeing myself progress over time. That's why I love the current Steam sale going on right now: Steam Idler Fest.

There are a ton of intriguing games on sale that all have some sort of idle mechanic to them, making them the perfect games for me to relax with. A lot of these games don't have controller support, so I have two sub-categories for our recommendations to split them, but all of the games are playable on the Steam Deck. The non-controller support ones mean using the trackpad more, but it shouldn't be too bad.
