During a past Steam Next Fest, I played an upcoming 2D platformer called Genopanic that completely captivated me with its vibrant world, gorgeous animations, and physics-based puzzles. While it is still in development, and I can't wait for its release, the developer, Mobirate, re-released their old game that Genopanic was inspired by, Space Expedition. It was originally released 10 years ago, and the devs decided to make it free on Steam, but it has since received some updates, including one that brings in Steam Deck and controller support!

In the newest update, which was released yesterday, we now have full optimizations for the Steam Deck. This, paired with the enhanced controller support and revamped user interface, should be a fantastic time on the handheld. The update also brings in some bugfixes and localization errors, as well as an option to completely reset your progress! You can check out this update from their Steam Community Post.

For a free game that was just re-released on Steam, it is great seeing the support for it. It is also a great example of what Mobirate is doing for Genopanic, which I eagerly await to hear more about!

You can download Space Expedition for free on Steam right now.
