While it can sometimes be hard to play first-person shooters on the Steam Deck, they are still a blast when they feel right. Shady Knight is one of those, even if it is a fast-paced game. It's a ton of fun, gorgeous to look at, and full of high-octane parkour combat. And there was a brand new update, which can help make playing on the Steam Deck less of a hassle.

The update is a pretty massive one with some great additions and improvements, but there is one specific change that helps the Steam Deck. A new option was added to the Advanced menu (which is a new addition to the game as well) that can turn on the speedrun timer permanently. It's a welcome change, along with the optimized in-game timer, since it could stay on the screen indefinitely.

There are also new style maps for kick, spear, dash, and dagger, save profiles, optimized The Armless Knight's behavior to focus less on backstabbing, improvements to grapple auto-aiming when in the air, new sound clues for the end of cooldowns, soul dash now works on knocked out enemies, bow throw charge time has been reduced, and much more.

You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.
