Previously a PlayStation 5 exclusive, Rise of the Ronin, developed by Team NINJA, is coming to PC via Steam on March 10th, 2025. The game follows the journey of a Ronin, a masterless warrior, as they fight through a chaotic period in Japan's history to discover their own destiny.

Along your journey in Rise of the Ronin, you'll meet with various historical figures, and make choices that could affect the future of the entirety of the nation. Your choices can result in multiple different endings available within the game. You'll also be able to personalize the experience by creating your own character and customizing your weapons as you explore the varied environments of Japan.

With the game being a port of a console release, there's always the fear that the PC version might lack the features we've come to expect, but it seems like the developers have got us covered here. They are promising support for resolutions up to 8k, 120 FPS, along with ultra-wide monitor support.

There is also support for ray tracing, the use of AMD's FSR technology, Nvidia's DLSS, and Intel's XeSS. Despite this, the system requirements are pretty high, so they might prove too much for the Steam Deck, it'll be interesting to see if we can leverage FSR to give us a stable 30 FPS experience or not.

Rise of the Ronin launches onto Steam on March 10th, 2025. If you purchase the game before April 2nd, 2025, you will receive 4 bonus combat styles, as well as an armor set and katana.
