Gamescom 2024 is all about those new trailer reveals, and Rebellion showed off some more footage of their new upcoming RPG Atomfall with a snazzy trailer. We also have a release window for March 2025.

Atomfall is a big transition from Rebellion's previous titles in Strange Brigade, Zombie Army, and the Sniper Elite series. In a post-apocalyptic England, players will delve into a strange, radioactive open world, full of danger and wonder. Inspired by the real events of the 1957 Windscale disaster, the story opens five years later in a quarantine zone.

To get to the bottom of what happened at Windscale, the player must risk themselves through rusted military compounds, navigating abandoned bunkers from the disaster, and delving deep into Pagan ruins. It promises a pretty unique experience, relying on metal detectors and the support of mysterious organizations within the zone to survive. It looks like something with huge potential.

Atomfall can be wishlisted on Steam right now. While the trailer has marked it for a March 2025 release window, it is classed as ‘Coming Soon’ on Steam. Things are subject to change, so watch this space! What do you think of the Atomfall trailer? Let us know in the comments section!
