Have you ever imagined what it would be like to have the classic Legend of Zelda games get the Super Mario Maker treatment? I know I have, and that's why I love Quest Master so much. It is a great sandbox that has a fantastic kit to create your own 2D dungeons and share them with everyone. It runs perfectly on the Steam Deck for the most part, but there were some dungeons that proved to be too much for the device. However, in this new update, these dungeons may no longer pose a problem.

QuestMaster 7

In the new 0.8.1 update, we have major performance improvements for the Steam Deck to make it a solid 60 FPS throughout the whole time playing. The team didn't go into detail on how this was fixed, but they do mention the dungeons that were unplayable on Deck, and I did encounter some of those myself, but I am happy to see the improvements being implemented.

On top of that, we have some nice new additions to the game! Lunarc, a new immortal entity, has been added to terrorize you in whatever room they are placed in. They have a giant scythe and can be made to look invisible, which just has a floating scythe going around trying to kill you. We also have a new Mine trap and the ability to write notes when making dungeons. There will be a new boss added next week too, so that's nice to look forward to!
