A new update for the Proton Experimental branch has dropped, and it has some nice improvements for multiple different games, as well as integrating the new Proton 9.0 into the layer! With Proton 9, we have all of the fixes and updates that are being tested in the beta. We also have Hero's Land and Onimusha: Warlords now playable, Halo Infinite won't crash during its initializing data stage, Greedfall's video playback has been fixed, and Wine-Mono has been updated to 9.0.0.
The update should be downloaded automatically, but if you haven't downloaded Proton Experimental yet, you can do so by searching it in the store on your Steam Deck and downloading it like a game. You can then find it in your compatibility tab of games when you go to force Proton Compatibility.
