Today, Starbreeze has released some new information for their upcoming first-person heisting game, Payday 3, and I am very excited about what I see. First, we officially introduce two heisters who will be joining the crew at launch: Joy and Pearl. Joy is a genius hacker with a dangerous combination of strength and lack of care for the law. She is a bit of a wildcard but could become a necessity during any heist. Pearl, on the other hand, is an expert con artist and infiltrator who has no problems scamming on the street while rubbing elbows with the rich.

This was accompanied by an official trailer to introduce the two of them:

Then, we have the first post-launch roadmap for Payday 3. This details four different DLC that will be released periodically through the Winter of this year to Fall of next year. There will be additional content like seasonal events, new characters and skill lines, new enemies and weapons, cosmetics, and more. There also seems to be an Unreal Engine 5 update planned, which is interesting since the game is being built on Unreal Engine 4.

It looks like Payday 3 will be a great game that will be supported for a long time, hopefully following Payday 2's footsteps. Hopefully, this will run on the Steam Deck. I loved playing the 2nd game on the portable device, so bringing the 3rd would be incredible.

Payday 3 can be wishlisted and pre-ordered on Steam for $39.99, but if you want to save money, you can also buy on other storefronts for a lower price:
