The details and more were discussed over on the newest episode of The First Descendant dev talk, which you can view here:
The First Descendant is an upcoming free-to-play PvE Action RPG with co-op as its main focus. As a Descendant, you will be battling against alien invaders in epic combat where you will have to work together with your team and strategize to overcome difficult boss fights. You will get new equipment, materials, and items throughout the game that will help you build your character into the best fighter possible.
The game sounds awesome and I can't wait to dive into it. Unfortunately, it had an error trying to play on the Steam Deck, but if you have a Windows handheld like the ROG Ally, or have Windows installed on the Deck, you should be able to play! The minimum specs seem hefty, but after seeing how other UE5 games have played, I am willing to give it a shot.
The First Descendant's next beta will be from September 19 - 25 and if you were part of the last beta test, you are automatically included in this one.
