I love being able to take my time in video games and explore at my own pace, which is why I love those cozy exploration games that you can get lost in. That's exactly what art of rally developer Funselektor Labs Inc.'s new game invokes, and I can't wait to hear more about over the hill:
Over the hill is set in the golden age of offroading, where you will drive vehicles from the 60s, 70s, and 80s across challenging trails and beautiful scenery. To make things even better, you won't be doing it alone! You will be able to bring up to three friends with you to overcome the obstacles you may face, and from the trailer and Steam store page, it looks like you will be able to latch onto them as well.
On top of the challenges of the terrain, you will also have to face dynamic weather and realistic terrain deformation, which is something I love. A good challenge like that is a great way to experience a game like this with friends, and I can see myself getting lost in the beautiful-looking world.
On top of that, we can confirm that the developer is targeting solid performance on the Steam Deck, so it's very possible we will be able to enjoy over the hill on the go! I really do hope they are able to optimize it well, because this is definitely a game I can see myself playing while flying around to different events I need to go to.
Over the hill can be wishlisted on Steam ahead of its release date, which has yet to be announced.
