No More Room in Hell 2 did not have the best Early Access launch, but several critical patches have eased some of the problems. Today, Torn Banner Studios released the first major update for the game!

The “Reinforcement” development update adds a number of key quality of life fixes, new weapons, a new ending scenario, and additional skills.

One thing I like about the update is how it overhauls the difficulty curve, contributing to a harsher and tighter difficulty curve. A host of UI and UX improvements is accompanied by the ability to entirely remove any HUD elements to players’ desires. Zombies will react more naturally to damage with improved hit responses, while a new scenario for the Power Plant map adds some variety. These are only highlights from the update, of course.

No More Room in Hell 2 is available on Steam, and it will be 20% off for the Autumn Sale. Despite its rocky start, it is probably worth a try!
