I still get such a nostalgic feeling whenever I see No More Heroes pop up on Steam. It reminds me of the Wii and how much I wanted to play the game back then, but never got the chance to. As soon as it was released on PC, I grabbed the games and finally got to play them for myself. Now, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle should be a bit nicer to enjoy on the Steam Deck, thanks to a new update.

A new patch for the game was released earlier today, and it contains some fantastic new changes that should be wonderful to play with on the Steam Deck. The biggest change comes from No More Heroes 2 now being compatible with Steam Offline Mode. This means we should be able to play the game completely offline without any issues, which will be great for portable play. We also have gamepad rebinding support and text prompts will appear more.
Outside of that, we have full keyboard and mouse support, great for desktop PC gamers, the controls have been updated for most minigames, certain achievements will now properly unlock, and there have been general stability and Quality of Life improvements. Even though it's a small update overall, it's one I didn't expect, so I am quite happy.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

No More Heroes 2 is available on Steam for $19.99. It's rated Steam Deck Unsupported, but it does work on the Deck.
