Owners of the Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 1 are about to receive another fighter shortly, in the form of Peacemaker, from DC's The Suicide Squad. Featuring the likeness and voice of John Cena.

Peacemaker's goal is to bring about peace through any means possible, even if that means violence. Kombat Pack owners will be able to play as Peacemaker from February 28th, with wider availability being on March 6th.

Check out the trailer below to see him in action, as well as a sneak peek at a DLC Kameo fighter that will be available in March 2024:

As you can see, Peacemaker will bring his own moveset as well as his own sense of humor to the arena when he arrives for Kombat Pack owners next week, with a standalone purchase available later on March 6th.

Janet Cage, an alternate reality version of Johnny Cage, will also be available as a Kameo fighter from March 2024. She is also included in the Kombat Pack and will be available for standalone purchase.

That's not all, "Krossplay" functionality is being added to Mortal Kombat 1, with the ability to matchmake in 1v1 Kombat League and Kasual matches, hold 1v1 private matches, and view leaderboards across Xbox, PC, and PlayStation platforms. This functionality will be added to the game in an update on February 28th.

To celebrate all these changes and additions, Mortal Kombat 1 will have a free trial between March 7th and 10th, giving you access to a base roster of characters, full access to the online modes, and the ability to play starting chapters of the story mode.

Mortal Kombat 1 is available now on Steam for $69.99, it is graded as "Verified" on Steam Deck.

The Kombat Pack is available for $39.99 and includes 6 DLC fighters, including Peacemaker and 3 yet-to-be-released characters, as well as yet-to-be-announced Kameo fighters. Or you can purchase the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition for $109.99, which includes the Kombat Pack.
