Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is an upcoming narrative-driven action-adventure title from the minds at Skydance New Media and Marvel Games. It's an original story based in the Marvel Universe during WW2, following the story of 4 different heroes.

Want to learn more about the game? Then check out the new story trailer that just dropped:

The trailer is all CG and contains no actual gameplay, so we can't really see what the game is like, but it does set the scene nicely for us to learn more about these characters and the time period in which the game takes place.

In fact, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were watching a video about another Marvel movie for parts of the story trailer! But that's a testament to the power of Unreal Engine 5, hopefully, the developers will put it to good use in Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra to create an immersive experience that won't put too much strain on our computers.

The voice cast features the likes of Khary Payton for Azzuri, the WW2-era Black Panther, Drew Moerlein for Steve Rogers/Captain America, Megalyn Echikunwoke for Nanali, a Wakandan spy, and Marque Richardson for Gabriel Jones, a US soldier and member of the Howling Commandos. The composer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is Stephen Barton, who previously worked on the likes of Star Wars: Jedi Survivor and Star Trek: Picard.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will launch in 2025, we don't have many details beyond that at the moment. We're not even 100% sure if the game will launch on Steam, as it was announced during an Epic Games event for Unreal Engine 5, so it's possible there's a collaboration with Epic to keep the game on the EGS, but that's just speculation for now.
