Jupiter Hell is one of the best games to play on the Steam Deck. The Roguelike, turn-based shooter not only feels extremely unique but also plays well and has a native Linux build. Unfortunately, there was a nasty bug recently that could cause the game to crash when you tried to save and exit it, but in the newest update, it seems that has been fixed!

The new update for the game, titled Abattoir, comes with a lot of new content, including a new location branch at Dante, a new boss, a new special level, different variants, and some visual improvements. On top of that, this pesky bug that would cause the game to crash on the Steam Deck should be fixed! Now, we can explore the new level and take on the new boss without worry.

There are a lot of other improvements too though, making this a pretty big update overall. Scouts now start with three weapon slots, a new trial called The Gauntlet has been added, there are 21 new medals to earn, more variety with new exalted keywords, and a Japanese translation!

There is a lot that was worked on, and it sounds amazing. You can check out the full changelog over on the Steam Community Post.

Jupiter Hell is available on Steam for $24.99. It is rated Playable for the Steam Deck due to needing to enter text by manually bringing up the on-screen keyboard and possibly needing to manually quit through the Steam overlay, but the latter may have been fixed with this update.
