The upcoming Hack'N'Slash game from NACON, Dragonkin: The Banished, is less than 2 months from its release into early access on Steam, and the developers are now revealing the game's unique skill system that players will use, dubbed the "Ancestral Grid".
If you want to check out this skill system, along with some gameplay, go ahead and check out the trailer below:
By taking advantage of the Ancestral Grid system, Dragonkin players will be able to tune their characters to fit their own playstyle, allowing them to create the most effective builds to take on the dragon-corrupted enemy hordes.
The system is designed to evolve with the player, with each class having a separate grid that will expand as the player gains experience. You'll be able to find fragments that you can align on the grid in order to unlock new skills and modifiers for your character, giving the system an almost puzzle-like quality.
Dragonkin: The Banished will be available on Steam Early Access from March 6th, and you can wishlist the game right now. We don't have much info on how the game might perform on the Steam Deck yet though.
