Paris-based developer Eko Software, best known for 2019's Warhammer: Chaosbane, has released its latest title, Dragonkin: The Banished, into Early Access.

Dragonkin: The Banished

Dragonkin: The Banished is the latest in a long line of ARPGs looking for you to sink your time into, with three available classes at launch - Knight, Oracle, and Barbarian - where you're goal is to "free humanity from the invading draconic forces". As expected from a Diablo IV and Path of Exile II contender, build crafting will play a massive role in how you shape your time spent, and this can largely be achieved via the Ancestral Grid.

This Ancestral Grid, a system whereby you combine 'fragments' obtained throughout your journey, is synergistic with your dragonet, an extension of the player character. Naturally, this will further enhance the purported "endless build possibilities" available, which is standard PR speak for "there's a lot at play here; go wild".

There will be more coming over the following months throughout Early Access, too, with new endgame content and skills launching throughout Spring and Summer, the latter of which will also feature a new hero. Lastly, Autumn will bring about the inclusion of multiplayer, a staple for such a genre. There's no word on when Dragonkin: The Banished is due to come out of Early Access yet, but we'll let you know once we know!

Dragonkin: The Banished is available now for £20.99/$24.99, but a special introductory 20% off offer is available until March 20th, lowering the price to £16.79/$19.99.
