After a rather lengthy wait, and reacquisition of the rights to the game by the game's developers, Die by the Blade is finally launching on PC this May 16th! Originally announced in 2020, Die by the Blade is a 1v1 sword-fighting game with a twist, get hit and you're dead.
Intrigued? Check out the trailer below to get a peek at just how the game plays:
Die by the Blade will feature both local and online multiplayer, allowing you to put your skills to the test against friends and strangers alike. Read your opponent's moves, parry every attack, or find yourself quickly meeting your end.
Choose the right weapon for you. Will you go with a quick katana allowing you to deliver quick blows, or would you rather go with the powerful two-handed nodachi? Your stats are defined by your weapon, not your character, so make sure you make a wise choice for your play style.
Customize your characters and your weapons to express your style in the arena, and whatever you do, don't Die by the Blade.
Die by the Blade will be available on Steam from May 16th, 2024. A demo is available to download now. The game has controller support and using a controller is recommended. The system requirements are also not too heavy, so this game may run quite well on the Steam Deck.
