Recently, there have been a couple people on Twitter, including ourselves and GamingOnLinux, that have tried reaching out to Behaviour Interactive to get some update on support for their flagship game, Dead by Daylight, on the Steam Deck in light of recent Steam Deck supply chain updates. We had also emailed Behaviour as sometimes that is a better way to communicate.
This morning, we happily received an email back from Behaviour’s PR and Events manager, Aude Laliberté. While he wasn’t able to give a date, he did confirm that they do still have plans to update EAC for compatibility with Proton and SteamOS.
While it wasn’t a specific date or timeframe, it is wonderful to hear that support is still on their radar and something that is being worked on. We will update as we learn more about the situation.
Dead by Daylight is one of the two bit games currently unsupported on the Deck that gamers have been asking for, with the other being Destiny 2. Hopefully, we will hear back from Bungie as well with more information on Destiny 2’s support on Deck.
