Creatures of Ava releases tomorrow, and it has been such a pleasure to play so far. The game is gorgeous, the visuals are enticing, and I love the angle for saving creatures and being eco-friendly instead of capturing them. I will have more thoughts on the game soon, since I am in the process of reviewing it, but I was looking at the Steam Store page for the game, and oddly enough, I saw an Unsupported badge. I am not sure why the badge is there, since the game is quite enjoyable on the Steam Deck so far!

Currently, the game is rated Unsupported due to no graphical settings running well on Deck, but that doesn't seem to be true based on my experience so far. The game supports FSR 3, and at quality mode, I was getting a solid 50 FPS in smaller areas and around 36 in larger ones. This also had Shadows on High, which means there's definitely legroom to lower settings to help the game run better.

I am still playing through the game, so there may be a part later on that runs terribly, but from what I have been experiencing so far, this is a very playable title. Valve has had a habit of giving out Unsupported or Verified badges to games that shouldn't have them, due to either no issues for Unsupported or bad, or giving an unplayable game a Verified badge. Either way, I don't see a reason for this rating and I feel this will be great to play on the go! In this case, I would ignore the rating if you plan to buy the game.

Creatures of Ava will be available tomorrow!
