Hooded Horse, famous for publishing basically every indie strategy game in the galaxy, has just announced that Breachway, their space-based Roguelike Deckbuilder will be entering into Early Access on Steam on August 30th. The game was originally due out earlier this year but had previously been delayed until this month to allow more time for the developer to work on the game, now it's been delayed again, but at least we have a more precise date of August 30th now!

Does Breachway sound like your kind of game? You can check out the trailer below:

Breachway will let you choose from several ship classes as you assemble your crew, allowing you to customize your loadout, and engage in dynamic turn-based space battles. Using your deck of cards, ship resources, and your abilities, you'll be able to come up with new combinations and strategies to take on any threat that you face in this volatile galaxy, as all the factions search for "The Signal".

Curious about what the early access release of Breachway will include? Well, fear not! We have been given a rundown of features that will be in the initial release.

There will be 4 ship types, each with its own unique layouts, bonuses, and faction standings. A variety of weapons at your disposal, such as missiles, lasers, railguns, and more! Over 200 cards with which to build your deck and find your own playstyle. Different crewmembers you can recruit, who have their own abilities you can use in combat. Finally, the galaxy will contain 2 regions, with their own events and enemies, as well as 4 factions. As you might expect in a roguelike/lite, some progression does carry between runs, making you more powerful with each run you make.

Breachway will launch into Steam Early Access on August 30th. It doesn't look to have controller support, but the system requirements are fairly low, and it should run ok on the Steam Deck with the right controller layout selected.

Will you be purchasing Breachway when it launches into early access on August 30th? Let us know in the comments below!
