Well this is definitely news I am extremely excited to be writing about! The upcoming Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon has been reported to be getting full support for the Steam Deck!

Armored Core 6 Steam Deck

Reported by Jacob Roach from Digital Trends, they were able to get a hands-on demo of the game and ask the developers some questions about the game. One of the questions was regarding Steam Deck support, and Producer Yasunori Ogura responded:

Obviously seeing how well Elden Ring performed on the Steam Deck, we were very happy, and we wanted to at least create that as a baseline going forward for this handheld,” Ogura tells Digital Trends. “So it is fully supported for Steam Deck … we just want to reassure players that it will be fully supported.

There wasn't any specifics given, but it is reassuring to hear this. The Digital Trends team did go through the graphical settings that they were able to and didn't see any upscaler options though. We aren't exactly sure how the game will run or what tricks they will be using, but with how well Elden Ring can run without any upscaling, we are very hopeful!

Armored Core VI is the next game in the Armored Core series and will see you take control of a powerful mech to fight in omni-directional, fast-paced battles. You will be able to customize your suit to cater to your specific playstyle, affecting each mission and giving you a unique way to strategize.

The game will be released on August 25th and can be wishlisted or pre-ordered on Steam for $60.
