In celebration of the beginning of its Kickstarter campaign and the arrival of a fresh public demo on Steam, 2Awesome Studio has unveiled a stunning new trailer for Altered Alma, a cyberpunk Metroidvania with RPG components.

The trailer introduces fans to Jack, a former mercenary who must face vicious gangsters and mechanical monsters in a cyberpunk setting as they make their way through the perilous streets of Neo Barcelona.

In Altered Alma's first public demo, players can experience the neon-lit, grimy streets of Neo Barcelona firsthand. The demo aims to highlight the game's exploration and combat mechanics, but it also teases the prospect of romance, which could enrich the story-driven narrative.

Set for release on Steam in Q4 2025, Altered Alma invites players to embark on a journey through a cyberpunk world. Antony Johnston (Resident Evil: Village, Dead Space) and Emma Beeby (Tails of Iron, F1 23) are bringing their expertise to the writing team.

The game's powerful upgrade system lets players level up Jack, assemble a crew, and face difficult moral choices while trying to save the people they care about.

The 2Awesome Studio crew has been hard at work for the last two years preparing Altered Alma's framework. They are now asking supporters to help make their dream a reality by launching the Kickstarter campaign. Backers of the campaign will be the first to own the game and get special perks, helping to bring Altered Alma to life.
