If you are looking for a smaller-scale simulation game with a hint of strategy sprinkled in, ACRES seems to be the way to go. You will be growing crops and changing your strategy with evolving market demands, and you'll have to manage upgrades, optimize harvests, and nurture the soil to keep your farm operating. And now, you can navigate it all a bit easier with the newest update for the game.

In the newest ACRES update, we have improved the gamepad and Steam Deck support. Specifically, adjustments have been made to help users navigate menus and guides more seamlessly without issues. There are also Direct X and Vulkan options when booting up the game, so you can select DX11, DX12, or Vulkan, along with shader model 5 or 6, to find the best performance for the system you are playing on.

Otherwise, the new update adds a solid amount of new content. There is a new Hardcore Mode so you can get a solid challenge, rows will be highlighted to show which spots the tractors will cover, there are seed count estimates, and a bunch of other quality of life updates, including an improved stat box widget and consistent diesel amount readout.
