Bullet-Hell games may still give you nightmares of making inexplicably tight dodges and leave you either wondering how you dodged the onslaught or how you were supposed to survive the onslaught, but Bullet-Heaven games are the proven remedy to such bad memories, allowing you to turn the tables and unleash an inescapable flurry of weaponry at your opponents instead.

Enter, Achilles: Survivor, a new survivor-like game that has just launched into Early Access on Steam, where you enter a world inspired by ancient Greek mythology. You'll be able to place traps and fortifications to hold off the incoming horde, with the game taking place in the same universe as the Action RPG, Achilles: Legends Untold.

Unlike other survivor-likes, Achilles: Survivor adds the twist of base-building. Allowing you to construct defensive towers, structures that will heal you, and the ability to summon allies to fight by your side. These buildings play a crucial role in the game and can sway things to your favor.

You'll be able to choose from numerous characters, from legendary mythological figures and beasts to some more unexpected heroes, each with their own unique abilities.

Are you ready to fight the endless hordes and bosses that await you in Achilles: Survivor? Choose your hero, gather treasure and power, and then survive as long as you can in this replayable rogue-lite survival game.

As the game is in early access, more updates are planned for 2025, including the addition of more structures, survivors to play as, powers, and more!

Achilles: Survivor is out now on Steam in Early Access for $4.99, with a 10% launch discount. We haven't heard how well it runs on the Steam Deck, but the system requirements indicate that it could likely run on the Deck without much trouble.
