The highly anticipated "Crush Depth" update for Abiotic Factor has just been announced by Deep Field Games and Playstack. Everyone in Early Access can now enjoy this massive content expansion. Along with this thrilling release, the game has also reached a major milestone, selling more than 600,000 copies globally.

"Crush Depth" Update: Explore New Depths

The Security Sector and the Hydroplant are two entirely new sectors that players are introduced to in the "Crush Depth" update. New challenges and gameplay mechanics, like diving and fishing, are introduced in these areas, giving players more opportunities to engage with the game world. The Security Sector lives up to its moniker as a dangerous place, and the new aquatic adventures will revolve around the Hydro plant. Also, players should be prepared for the cold—and maybe even bring a jetpack—because the Voussoir Facility is snowy. Brrrr!

New Features and Enhancements

A plethora of new features that enrich the player experience and increase gameplay are introduced in the "Crush Depth" update:

  • Anomalous Treasures: Crates without lids have materialized all over the place. In order to find the keys and get these rewards, players have to face tough encounters.
  • Lasers: Innovative strategies utilizing laser-based power transfers and defenses are made possible by a new and versatile power and defense system.
  • Aquatic Adventures: The Hydroplant introduces a plethora of aquatic activities, such as swimming, fishing, and diving, all of which pose unique threats below the water's surface.
  • Chef’s Counter: A place to make food recipes and butcher fish at the crafting table in the beginning of the game.
  • New Transportation Options: With the addition of a Jetpack and a GATE SUV, the upgrade streamlines movement within and outside of the facility.
  • What Grows Beneath: Emerging plant species, such as seaweed and psychedelic rice, suggest exciting new directions for food.

The survival aspects of the game will be further developed as players encounter new dangers, such as a rebellious military group and supernatural beings like the mysterious Reaper.

Gameplay and Performance Improvements

The developers have made several improvements to the gameplay based on player feedback:

  • Storage by Tag: You can now better manage your inventory with containers like Med Kits and Fridges that hold specific item types.
  • Radial Wheel Enhancements: Charging stations, flashlight toggles, and weapon holstering are all made easier to access with the improved radial wheels.
  • Base Logistics: Enhanced means of transferring materials within your base, such as the ground-breaking moisture teleporter.
  • Carbon Structures: The options for base construction are expanded by new building materials.
  • Scoped Weaponry: New weapon options further refine Scoped Weaponry Combat.

The Labs and the brand new Hydroplant sector have also undergone extensive overhauls to enhance performance and speed loading times, making for a more fluid gaming experience overall.
