You'll have to protect and manage your workforce in order to maximize their efficiency as you progress through the technological ages and restore humanity's dominion over the earth. Do you have what it takes to begin the New Cycle?
New Cycle promises the following gameplay features:
- Forage, Mine, and Trade resources so you can stand up to any challenge this new world poses.
- The new atmosphere caused by the apocalypse presents an extremely fickle seasonal cycle as well as destructive events.
- Your primary workforce is people, ensure they are well-motivated, cared for, and loyal.
- Develop new technologies and enact social policies to ensure your continued rule.
- The game uses Chat AI to generate responses from traders and NPCs
New Cycle launches on Steam in Early Access on January 18th, the price is still TBA.
It's hard to say how the game will play on the Steam Deck, it has no support for gamepads, but it's possible a controller layout could be made that adapts the controls to the Steam Deck's touchpads. Looking at it from a pure performance standpoint, the game should run fine on the Steam Deck, as the CPU and GPU minimum requirements are modest.
