There aren't many games that I follow so closely with every single update, but No Rest for the Wicked is an outlier. Moon Studios, the developer of the game, has been pushing out update after update that improves performance and visual quality and makes it so much more enjoyable to play on the Steam Deck. Yes, there are still some crashes via memory usage, which can be averted by using CryoUtilities and setting your UMA Buffer to 4G, but at the rate these updates are coming out, it might not be necessary soon. Now, we have confirmation that FSR is coming to the game, which will help out even more!

In a post on X the co-founder of Moon Studio, Gennadiy Korol, went into some of the details about them implementing DLSS into the game. DLSS is an AI-upscaling tool that is used with NVIDIA GPUs, which isn't something we can use on the Steam Deck. They are working on getting DLSS into the game, though it isn't ready yet, but at the end of the post, Gennadiy mentions that FSR 2.2 is also being added in, which is perfect for the Steam Deck!

There was a comment underneath that asked him about implementing FSR 3.1, and he mentioned he was going to look into it and possibly bring it in. I did also leave a comment asking about an ETA on FSR and the possibility of XeSS being included as well but I have not heard back yet. I will update this article accordingly as the story progresses. Either way, this is an awesome development and should help us push the game with higher framerates and minimal quality loss! It may not help with the memory issues as much, but with how they
