A new Steam Deck Beta Client update was released yesterday, and it has some nice new features for the upcoming client features coming soon. The new Steam Families feature, which will replace Family Sharing, now gives Adults in the families the ability to allow and disallow specific games for children in the family, while you can now disable game recording on a per-game basis with the new Game Recording feature.
There were also some bug fixes that could result in the Steam Deck failing to boot or the Steam Client crashing on shutdown. We also have reduced the latency of some Steam Input API actions, making input lag disappear.
You can download the update yourself in the System Settings on the Steam Deck. Make sure your update channel is set to Beta or Preview.
