Back in the day, I was a huge Fire Emblem fanatic. I loved the series so much, but I always felt like I wanted more when I finished the story and campaign. In that time of need, Wargroove scratched that itch. Not only was I able to still have that Fire Emblem joy, but I was also able to experience a new campaign, create my own, and try out the ones the community made! Wargroove 2 expanded on this but added even more versatility and a new roguelike mode, which is awesome. And the newest update for it has a nice improvement for the Steam Deck.

The new end-of-the-year update has some improvements across the board, but there are two specific ones I think help the Steam Deck. First, we have a new Handheld Mode zoom option. If there is something that's a bit too small on the smaller screen of your device, this should help a lot. There is also improved controller support, which is something I very much appreciate. The game was already running quite well on the Deck, but extra support is always welcome.

The rest of the update includes a solid amount of bug fixes. The soft lock for spectators in multiplayer matches with AI has been fixed, occasional UI crashes should no longer occur, Wulfar's groove will no longer be able to push units out of the playable map area, and some checks were added to make sure Conquest mode is actually unlocked after you finish the first story campaign.

Wargroove 2 can be purchased on Steam for $19.99. It is currently rated Verified, which we can confirm deserves that green checkmark.
