In Virballs, an upcoming 3D action platformer that will launch Early Access via Steam on October 22nd, 2024, players will have to prevent said Virballs (elementally charged creatures) from wreaking havoc on multiple planets. Play the demo now and check out the trailer below:

Game Premise

In Virballs, users take command of ORB, an Object Removal Bot assigned to tidy up the mess made by PopoBots, the robots used by law enforcement. Dr. Corvid's virus-like creatures dispersed after his space freighter was shot down, wreaking elemental havoc on the planets they infected. Equipped with formidable grappling claws, thrusters, and a containment sphere, ORB needs to gather and utilize virball powers in order to craft new weapons, take down bosses, and preserve the galaxy.

Early Access

Developed by Bolder Games, they’ve come out of the games swinging by suggesting that their game is essentially Ratchet and Clank meets Kirby. I'm curious to see if Virball can live up to the hype because I've played a number of games from the Kirby and Ratchet & Clank series in the past and the bar set is quite high. They have promised that Virballs is a light-hearted, humorous journey that combines strategic combat with platforming. We'll soon get a taste of the chaos and creativity involved in developing ORB's arsenal as its Early Access phase gets underway.

More Content Updates to Come

As Virballs progresses toward its full release in 2025, it will be enhanced with new planets, gameplay components, and challenges during its Early Access period. Until October 21st, players can test out a demo that is available for a limited period of time during Steam Next Fest.

Virballs will be available on PC via Steam Early Access on October 22nd, 2024. It's time to start cleaning up the galaxy—the demo can be downloaded right now.
