Transformers: Galactic Trials has officially launched on Steam, bringing gamers a new hybrid gameplay experience that blends action-packed racing with the iconic Transformers universe. In this action-packed, rogue-lite game, which was created by 3DClouds and released by Outright Games in collaboration with Hasbro, players take control of both Autobots and Decepticons.

The thought of controlling Optimus Prime or Megatron in a contemporary video game brought back fond memories for me as someone who grew up watching Transformers cartoons. Eleven popular bots with distinct skills, such as Bumblebee, Soundwave, and Elita-1, are part of the all-star lineup. For those who enjoy both racing games and Transformers, this is an absolute slam dunk! The gameplay promises a fascinating fusion of classic arcade racing with thrilling robot combat.

Players compete to retrieve stolen Prime Relics, which offer vital enhancements to handling, speed, and damage, in Galactic Trials. The skill sets of each character, such as Wheeljack's Wrecking Bomb or Nemesis Prime's Axe of Extinction, give the game more strategic depth. Each race seems unique and customizable thanks to the assortment of unlockable skins and weapons. There are also numerous references to Transformers' past, such as voiceovers and Easter eggs that draw inspiration from the 40-year history of the franchise.

The game has a 2-player local multiplayer mode for those who would rather race with friends, which ups the competitive nature of each race considerably. With rogue-lite features like more than 70 collectible relics and several difficulty settings, you can also anticipate a great deal of replayability.

Outright Games and Hasbro appear to have come up with a novel way to commemorate the 40th anniversary of this cherished franchise with Transformers: Galactic Trials. This game has a lot to offer, regardless of whether you've been a longtime Autobots fan or you simply like fast-paced racing games.

Personally, I'm excited to start playing the game and see how it holds up. I wonder if it will take me back to those Saturday mornings in the 1990s when I would sit cross-legged in front of the TV and be totally engrossed in the action-packed world of Transformers cartoons. I’m excited to see how the rogue-lite mechanics blend with the classic Transformers thrills, and of course, I can’t wait to beat the absolute bolts out of Megatron! Auto-bots, roll out!!!
