The Outlast Trials has received its first post-launch update, entitled Toxic Shock! The main body of the update is a time-limited event that will run from April 16th until May 7th, featuring a new variator to spice up the trials a bit, as well as a new secondary objective.

Here's a rundown of some of the changes in this new update to The Outlast Trials:

  • New Variator: Toxic Shock - The Trial environment sporadically fills with toxic gas, inflicting permanent damage. Hide to stay alive.
  • New Secondary Objective: Collect The Rats - Recover all the drugged rats within the Trial for tissue analysis. Fulfill the objective for additional rewards.
  • Complete Trials in this time-limited program to earn Toxic Tokens and exclusive Toxic Cosmetics.
  • Uncover the secrets of Toxic Shock by locating new evidence documents scattered throughout the Trials.
  • A variety of balancing changes and bug fixes.
