Valve is at it again; we have a new SteamOS update ready to be downloaded onto our Steam Decks! This one is a small one, but any welcome improvements are always going to be appreciated. This one incorporates the 3.5.18 and 3.5.19 preview updates and pushes them out into the stable branch, giving all of us a chance to bask in the glory of more stability and security!
That's right. This update includes stability and security improvements. 3.5.18 preview introduced the first round of them, while 3.5.19 preview added some additional improvements. I assume that since this new update took the 3.5.19 name, it also includes the additional improvements from the preview branch.
We also have a sound output issue that was fixed for games that open and close audio devices quickly. I am not sure of many games that do this, but Valve does list Super Blood Hockey as one such game that had this issue.
And that's it for the new update! It isn't big by any means, but it's welcome regardless. You can go update your SteamOS now via the System Settings.
SteamOS 3.5.19 Update Changelog:
General
- Fixed an issue causing no sound output in games that open and close audio devices quickly like Super Blood Hockey
- Stability and security improvements
