The week has officially passed, which means we now have a brand new Steam Deck Verified and Playable highlights list! We got a couple of great ones here, including Cocoon, Ugly, and Ooblets! Of all the games that got the badge, here are the 9 highlights we found:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the Verified system and how it can be fixed.

Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 10/2/23 - 10/8/23

Cocoon (Verified)

From Jeppe Carlsen, the lead gameplay designer of LIMBO and INSIDE — COCOON takes you on an adventure across worlds within worlds. Master world-leaping mechanics and solve intricate puzzles to unravel a cosmic mystery.

The game is $19.99 and rated Verified.

Ugly (Verified)

Unravel the dark secrets hidden throughout this stirring puzzle platformer about a tormented nobleman confronting the traumas of his past. Use an innovative mirror mechanic to solve challenging puzzle rooms and defeat towering bosses as you strive to piece together the ugly truth.

The game is $19.99 and rated Verified.

Fate/Samurai Remnant (Verified) (SDHQ Review)

The battle over the Waxing Moon which could grant any and all wishes — the Waxing Moon Ritual. The seven individuals seeking their wish, or Masters, are the bearers of the Ritual. The seven Heroic Spirits, or Servants, are summoned to this world by their Masters. The curtain rises on the battle between the seven Masters with their seven Servants. Traverse the city of Edo and become victorious in the Waxing Moon Ritual. Fight, explore, converse… Many elements are deeply intertwined in this action RPG!

Deceit 2 (Playable)

Deceit 2 is a 6-9 player social deduction horror game where two among you have been Infected. Whilst the Infected do the Game Master's bidding, the Innocent must work together to escape the Ritual whilst deducing who is plotting against them. So who can you trust?

The game is $14.99 and rated Playable due to manually needing to enable controller support, needing to use the virtual keyboard to enter in text, and some small in-game text.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 (Playable)

Play the fully-remastered Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater & Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 games in one epic collection, rebuilt from the ground up in incredible HD. Skate as the legendary Tony Hawk and the original pro roster, plus new pros. Listen to songs from the era-defining soundtrack along with new music. Hit insane trick combos with the iconic handling of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series.

The game is currently $19.99 until tomorrow, then it will go back to $39.99. It is rated Playable due to small in-game text and sometimes needing to use the virtual keyboard to enter text. The game also requires an internet connection at all times, even for single-player gameplay.

AK-xolotl (Verified) (SDHQ Review)

The cutest, deadliest and ONLY top-down roguelike shooter featuring AK-wielding Axolotls. Blast your way through the animal kingdom with an arsenal of kick-ass guns, mighty power-ups and even raise an army of trigger-happy baby axolotls.

The game is $18.99 and rated Verified.

Ooblets (Verified)

Ooblets is a relaxing and offbeat farming, town life, and creature collection game. Manage your farm, grow and train your ooblets, explore strange lands, and have dance-offs!

The game is currently $17.99 and will go back up to $29.99 on October 12th. It is also rated Verified.

Evolings (Verified)

Embark on a captivating journey in Evolings! This minimalistic turn-based roguelike lets you face hordes of evil monsters by recruiting a team of deadly yet cute creatures. With challenges and a unique experience in each playthrough, Evolings offers a captivating fusion of strategy and charm.

The game is $4.99 and rated Verified.

Laika: Aged Through Blood (Verified)

Laika: Aged Through Blood is a western-inspired motorvania set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It is the story about a tribe oppressed by occupant forces, and the personal story of a mother coyote warrior who descends on an endless path of vengeance to take back what her people lost.
