Last week's Steam Deck Verified/Playable games are here, and there weren't as many as I initially expected. There were some "Verified" titles, but a majority of them were rated "Playable," with the majority of them having controller icons and small text issues. Regardless, getting one of these badges is still great to see, and I welcome any game that is now playable on the Steam Deck. And, I am so excited to see The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky get away from that "Unsupported" badge!

Here are the 10 highlights we found:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the Verified system and how it can be fixed.

Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 3/25/24 - 3/31/24

Palia (Playable)

Palia is a vibrant new world made just for you. Craft, cook, fish, and farm with friends as you live the life of your dreams and discover an enchanting adventure filled with colorful characters and a mystery to unravel.

The game is free to play and is rated Playable due to needing a community controller configuration, needing to bring up the virtual keyboard manually, and small in-game text.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky (Playable)

Hailed as one of the largest, longest and most meticulously detailed turn-based JRPG series of all time, this first chapter in the ongoing Trails saga sets the stage for what's quickly become Ys developer Nihon Falcom's most popular and best-selling franchise in their entire 30+ year history.

The game is $19.99 and is rated Playable due to small in-game text and showing incorrect controller icons.

Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story (Playable)

The Saboteur (Playable)

This open-world action thriller takes you through the seedy streets of Paris as you seek to undermine the German authority and lead a rebellion. Fight across rooftops and through dangerous alleys, and operate a wide variety of vehicles as you navigate your terrain.

The game is $9.99 and is rated Playable due to having a launcher that needs touchscreen input, you may need to quit the game through the Steam overlay, and you need to manually set the resolution to match the Deck's native display.

Backpack Battles (Playable)

Backpack Battles is a PvP inventory management auto battler! Buy and craft powerful items, then carefully arrange them in your backpack.

The game is $12.99 and is rated Playable due to small in-game text and showing incorrect controller icons.

Slay the Princess (Verified)

She will do everything in her power to stop you. She'll charm, and she'll lie, and she'll promise you the world, and if you let her, she'll kill you a dozen times over. You can't let that happen. Don't forget, the fate of the world rests on your shoulders. Here's hoping you can save the world in this horror visual novel where your choices matter!

The game is on sale until April 8th for $14.39 and is rated Verified.
