Last week's Steam Deck Verified/Playable games are here, and there weren't as many as I initially expected. There were some "Verified" titles, but a majority of them were rated "Playable," with the majority of them having controller icons and small text issues. Regardless, getting one of these badges is still great to see, and I welcome any game that is now playable on the Steam Deck. And, I am so excited to see The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky get away from that "Unsupported" badge!

Here are the 10 highlights we found:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the Verified system and how it can be fixed.

Palia (Playable)

The game is free to play and is rated Playable due to needing a community controller configuration, needing to bring up the virtual keyboard manually, and small in-game text.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky (Playable)

Hailed as one of the largest, longest and most meticulously detailed turn-based JRPG series of all time, this first chapter in the ongoing Trails saga sets the stage for what's quickly become Ys developer Nihon Falcom's most popular and best-selling franchise in their entire 30+ year history.

The game is $19.99 and is rated Playable due to small in-game text and showing incorrect controller icons.

Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story (Playable)

42 of the weirdest, trippiest, sheepiest games ever created. Enter the mind of Jeff Minter, the legendary creator of Attack of the Mutant Camels, Gridrunner, and Tempest 2000, in this interactive documentary from Digital Eclipse.

The game is $29.99 and is rated Playable due to needing a community controller configuration, showing incorrect controller icons, and small in-game text.

YOHANE THE PARHELION -BLAZE in the DEEPBLUE- (Playable)

Yohane the Parhelion is an official spin-off of "Love Live! Sunshine". Yohane's fantasy world sets the stage for a 2D metroidvania in "Yohane the Parhelion: Blaze in the Deepblue"!

The game is $29.99 and is rated Playable due to sometimes showing incorrect controller icons.

The Saboteur (Playable)

This open-world action thriller takes you through the seedy streets of Paris as you seek to undermine the German authority and lead a rebellion. Fight across rooftops and through dangerous alleys, and operate a wide variety of vehicles as you navigate your terrain.

The game is $9.99 and is rated Playable due to having a launcher that needs touchscreen input, you may need to quit the game through the Steam overlay, and you need to manually set the resolution to match the Deck's native display.

Backpack Battles (Playable)

Backpack Battles is a PvP inventory management auto battler! Buy and craft powerful items, then carefully arrange them in your backpack.

The game is $12.99 and is rated Playable due to small in-game text and showing incorrect controller icons.

Slay the Princess (Verified)

She will do everything in her power to stop you. She'll charm, and she'll lie, and she'll promise you the world, and if you let her, she'll kill you a dozen times over. You can't let that happen. Catacomb Kids (Verified)

Catacomb Kids is a brutal platformer roguelike that pits you against the deadly Catacombs aided only by magic, steel, and your quick reflexes. Traverse procedurally generated dungeons and hack, slash, burn, and blast your way through hordes of things that want to kill you.

The game is $15.99 and is rated Verified.

Populous (Playable)
